Is it possible to configure Notepad++ to add a timestamp into a file being tracked
I am tracking my maven build via a log file that it produces - I would like to be able to insert a timestamp - ideally at the start and end - but I dont mind if its on every line (similar to the line-number).
I found posts recommending using TextFX and this does allow me to manually insert a Timestamp - but this gets over-written as soon as the log file is updated by Maven - so this solution wont work for me. Is there another way of doing this ?
Ideally it would be nice if I there was a tick-box - under the Notepad++ preferences - next to the tick-box to include LineNumbers called “DateTimestamp” and maybe a sub-option to include this at the start and end of the file only or on every line
