The defacement of Notepad++ website

20 May 2012 13:44:38

Notepad++ website was defaced last weekend (the12th May).
Only the site's content (database) was compromised, the release binaries are untouched.
After this issue, all the eventual backdoors have been checked and the entry point of site has been secured.
For the sake of release security, in the long term, a certificate will be included in the installer. In the meantime, the sha1 hash codes will be published on SHA-1 digests of binary packages forum for each future release.

Sorry for the incovenient due to this event.
