Recovering unsaved file

My computer crashed and I lost text that was in an open Notepad++ window, unsaved. Is there any way I can get it back?

I found this location listed as the dumping place for backups

C:\Users{username}\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\backup

but I have no N++ in Roaming.

I also found

C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\Temp\N++RECOV

But I have no N++RECOV in that folder.

Please help, lost some VERY important stuff.

I realized why I don’t have those folders, it’s because I use the portable version of N++. There’s a backup folder in the N++ folder, but there’s only one much older file in there.

Is there ANY way I can get this back?
